Ever watch the show American Pickers? We love that show. Digging around finding amazing vintage pieces. We repurpose, repair and repaint, that’s what we do best. Here’s one of our favorite pieces, this lovely buffet, check our previous post about this here.

We bought this sign and it became our store sign at our original location on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Great transformation from junk to our Blissful Street Sign, we love it.

Our sweet Audrey Hepburn inspired piece. One of our favorites.
This sweet dresser turned out so amazing. It was always under our Audrey Hepburn art which seemed to be our inspiration when we created the repaint of the dresser. One of our favorite people bought this and has it in her home.
Seems like we have a lot of favorites. We get attached to most of the vintage pieces we bring into the store. Sometimes it’s hard to let them go.

How to Save Vintage Pieces

In our very charming vintage world we share these pictures of things we have done for our wonderful customer. One of our friends (customer) stopped by the other day and said “y’all put a lot of love into what you do.” Nice to hear, right…

Izzy Palooza Vintage Angel

It was our great honor and privilege to be apart of the Izzy Palooza II. Here is the piece of our vintage furniture we painted special for this event. It was auctioned off during the live auction portion. Here is what we created…
“Our Izzy Piece”
In memory of Izzy we painted angel wings and Izzy’s name inside the door so when you’re looking in the front you can see it.
Here you can see the beautiful lines and details of this stunning vintage piece…
We changed the hardware to a purple glass pull. Purple was Izzy’s favorite color and is the signature color of the Izzy Palooza and other Izzy Foundation events.
What an amazing piece of furniture that will be enjoyed for years to come.

La Craie Paint Class that’s “FUN”

We had a “Intro to La Craie” Class on Sunday in our store, Living on the Bliss. Our students made a Vintage Frame that holds a ChalkBoard. Let us share it with you…
We are so blessed to have a business that allows us an opportunity to have this much FUN!!!!!
We held the class in our main room of our store.
We think we have remembered everything! Paint brushes, paint, wax, trim boards, sand blocks, paper towels, paper plates, frames, rags, baby wipes, (no babies here, just messy people). The set up is ready!
Here comes our first student, apron in hand!
Cassie gets everyone started, they picked their color and started painting their trim piece.
Everyone is having so much fun getting to know each other.
We took a break and got a little snack. We have a quaint little bakery next door to us called Acorn Bakery, Genevieve Walker is the owner and her goodies are amazing, check out her site here. Come by her bakery her pies are so delish. They’re great for the upcoming holidays, Cassie loves the pumpkin pie!!
Acorn Bakery makes really yummy pecan bars and even more yummy lemon bars.
We are now moving on to the waxing step. Everyone learns how to use our beautiful waxes.
We supply everyone in our classes with a vintage frame to paint. They get to pick out which one they want to paint.
Our students painted their frames and are having so much fun!
Everyone finished their frames, they are beautiful and we all had so much FUN!
Our students painted their own board to create a “ChalkBoard” to go into their frame.
Thank you to everyone that came and shared their Sunday afternoon with us. We can’t wait until our next class…

Did I tell you I met Annie Omar!!, Maison Blanche Paint Company

It’s our honor to introduce you to Annie Omar with Maison Blanche Paint Company.
Maison Blanche is our new paint line we now have to offer to our amazing customers in our new store Living on the Bliss. Woot Woot! We have been painting with this luxurious paint in our studio and we can’t say enough good things. Meet Annie….she’s lovely!
I spoke with Annie on the phone in July this year and knew we had to have her paint in our new store. We waited for our paint shipment and received it a few weeks ago. Special Delivery!!! Woot Woot, the excitement was crazy!
It’s amazing how excited girls can get by a pallet delivery of paint! LOL Woot Woot !
Not only is the paint luxurious the cans are vintage and have such a warm feeling. We love it!
At the Southern Bloggers Conference Annie demonstrated some of her new products. Amazing stuff!
Can’t wait to show off these new products! Cassie is traveling to attend the Maison Blanche Training! We will share the new products as soon as they are released. Woot Woot!!

Just wait until you see this. We can’t wait to show everyone how to do this, Woot Woot! Did we already Woot Woot like 5 times! Yeah well, Woot Woot, that makes 6
