Recipe for Salsa, (Texas Salsa)

Cooking is a passion of mine, I’m a confessed Foodie!  I going to be sharing a recipe that I love to make and make frequently.  Making fresh salsa is something I really enjoy doing, I’m not sure if the best part is the eating it or the copping of all the colorful ingredients.  My family really enjoys Mexican food so salsa is something I make a lot.  Try it, it’s very simple and Delicio!

 Salsa recipe, Texas Salsa



1/3 cup CILANTRO, roughly chopped

1-2 JALAPEÑO PEPPERS, seeded & finely chopped

2 GARLIC CLOVES, finely chopped

1 small VADALIA ONION, diced

1/2 HOTHOUSE CUCUMBER, seeded & diced

1 LIME, juice of 1/2

SALT & PEPPER, to taste

Place diced tomatoes in a strainer to drain excess juice in a bowl.

Place all ingredients in a large bowl & gently toss.  Season with salt & pepper is desired.  Serve with fresh tortilla chips.


Homemade tortilla chips can be made by cutting corn tortillas into 4 pieces and spray with Pam, & salt & pepper.  Bake at 350° until desired color and crispness is obtained.10-15 min
